As members of the growing Indian Community in the USA we have come to recognize the need to support and enhance social causes of our country of origin. Included in the one billion citizens of India are approximately 50 million people who are classified at “tribal” or “backward”. These people have not participated in the economic growth, in part because of their location in remote areas and the lack of any formal education. Our organization’s goal is to develop facilities in areas of education and health that will allow these communities to partake in the growth and development that are seen in the rest of the country.
Bhuvana Foundation, founded in Tennessee will work closely with its sister organization in India to facilitate the mutually overlapping visions and mission of the organization.
